My Prayer

June 19, 2008

Allow me to let go and trust in Your infinite wisdom.  I know You have a plan and it will work out for Your glory.

Allow me to experience the peace of knowing that You are bigger than any problem and I am walking in the path You have chosen.

I trust in You, but I need Your help in turning my frustration into a sense of anticipation of what You are about to do.

I know that You are in control.  Help me experience that more fully and give me complete peace in my heart.

I know You have a plan, a perfect plan, and some day I will be able to look back and see all of the steps you had planned along the way.

Lord, give me patience as I wait to experience the awe of Your goodness.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Amen!

Son, what a beautiful prayer. It is so fun watching you mature spiritually into the Christian man Jesus created you to be. I am inspired by your testimony of God’s wisdom and faithfulness and for your confidence in His love and ultimate good for you. I have been rereading Job as part of my daily devotional. Your testimony sounds so similar to Job’s insight into God’s almighty control of everything and the senselesness of trying to do anything other than wait on God for vindication from his present circumstances. After searching his heart Job could find no sin. so he realized that he was at the complete mercy of God Almighty. And Oh, what a just and merciful God He turned out to be! I love you! Mom

I relate best [today] to “I need Your help in turning my frustration into a sense of anticipation.” That is so true!

Enjoyed your mom’s comment as well. I love compliments from parents.
